Tara Foss - Editorial Director

Our Editorial Director and business founder is Tara Foss. Tara has many years of publishing experience and after graduating with a degree in journalism and communications, worked at several of the largest medical publishers in the United States and the UK.

She also edited websites for a pharmaceutical advertising and medical communications firm before tackling proposals for an international construction management company. Tara then worked at LexisNexis before becoming the Managing Editor of the British Journal of Nursing, the premier clinical nursing journal in the UK.

Tara is responsible for our editorial excellence and ensures that all work is completed to our very high quality standards before being returned to our clients.

Paul Maplesden - Business Director

Our Business Director is Paul Maplesden, a business professional with many years of experience in business communications, and project and programme management.

Following a creative role managing and developing content for websites, Paul has continued to develop his experience and expertise in several fields. His skills include communications management, employee engagement, business operations, IT, online content development and project consultancy.

In addition to business editing, Paul is also responsible for the day-to-day operations and long-term strategy of the business, developing our website and brand, relationship management and writing engaging content for our clients.

Thomas

Thomas has an undergraduate degree in English Literature and a postgraduate degree in Publishing Studies. After working with an independent publisher in Scotland, he went on to become a journalist on weekly and daily newspapers. His specialities include the arts, humanities and social science subjects.

Kate

Kate has expertise in a number of subjects including a PhD in Neurobiology. Her interests include science, technology, maths, medicine, history and finance. Following several years working for a number of high profile publishers, Kate set up her own publishing business and is now a member of the Freelance Editing team.

Vivienne

Vivienne is a proofreader, sub-editor and writer with many years of experience on a diverse range of publications including magazines, books and websites. Clients include John Lewis, Waitrose, Haymarket and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

Andrew

Andrew is one of our ‘English as a Second Language’ experts and helps our international students with their theses, dissertations and coursework. Andrew has also edited a number of other subjects including religious work, opinion pieces and several other areas.
