We’ve included a brief summary of what’s included in our proofreading and copy editing services below to help you decide which one is right for your needs.

• our enhanced proofreading service will check and correct the punctuation, spelling, grammar,subject-verb agreement, typos, formatting and more in your document; it ensures a consistent and accurate use of English
• our expert copy editing service includes proofreading in the price; in addition to proofreading, we also edit to improve the style, structure, clarity, flow, tone and language in your work; copy editing ensures that your work is appropriate for your audience

terms & conditions

For new clients, we will generally edit your first thousand words completely free of charge; in some cases we are not able to provide this service and will need to charge for the full piece of work (including the initial thousand words) in the following circumstances:

•     copy editing and proofreading for websites
•     copy editing and proofreading with a ‘same day’ turnaround
•     work that is charged by the hour (project work, consultancy and rewriting)
•     work that isn’t provided to us in a Word document format

We will always let you know if we aren’t able to provide this offer and will agree the revised price with you prior to starting the editing work. You can read full details on the ‘terms’ page of our website (further info > terms & conditions)

Please also note that there is a 10% surcharge on prices quoted via this form for editing work not supplied to us in a Word document format (e.g. PDF, web pages, spreadsheets etc.)
