We have a very flexible approach and can accommodate your needs. We can also work to tight deadlines as we realise that sometimes you'll need editing and proofreading completed quickly.

We’ve designed our editing process to be easy to use:

1. understanding our editing services

There's lots of information on the site about the editing services we provide and the benefits of using
our services. You can get an instant quote, read about our various services and compare our services to make your decision easier.

2. get in contact

• give us a call on 0845 834 0301
• fill in your details and submit the online quote form
• contact us via our website contact form

3. your requirements and the editing

• we'll establish: the title, topic and nature of your writing, the level of service you need (proofreading or copy editing) and your deadlines.
• we'll also ask for any special instructions or requirements you have
• when you send us your document to edit, we'll send you an invoice for the price you've agreed; we may ask you to pay some or all of the invoice before editing your work

• now we can start editing for you. Your editor will carry out the service you've requested using the 'Track Changes' feature in Word. We also use Word's Comment function to ask you questions about your work or to provide advice
• your editor will then read through your work a second time to ensure a high quality edit or proofread
• the editor will then return the work to our Editorial Director who does a final check, all within your deadline
• if we don't contact you during this process, it means that everything is going smoothly, there's no cause for concern and we'll meet your deadline. In any event, you can contact us at any point during the editing process for an update

4. returning your work

We'll send back two versions of your edited work:  

• a 'tracked' version that contains all of the editing we've done so you can see exactly what we've changed
• a 'clean' version that has all of the changes 'accepted' so you can see how the edited document looks now
• both versions will contain the same questions and comments from our editors and proofreaders

5. ongoing support and editing aftercare

We continue to provide editing support and aftercare even after returning your work

• if you make any changes to your work as a result of our comments and questions, you can send your
  work back to us and we'll carry out minor re-editing on those parts of the document for no extra charge
• if you have any further questions or comments about your work, you can contact us and we'll provide answers and advice
• we'll work with you until you have the fully edited, high quality piece of work that you need
• you'll then settle any remaining balance on your invoice
• we hope you decide to use us again and recommend us to others!
